New Vote Kick Option
Can we please get an option for kicking players who are just bad at playing? You have no idea how many times I have run into players who are horrible at the game. And this is a problem I am still getting in high level dungeons. So can we please get an option to kick these bad players from the party so we can try and get better players?

And it's the kind of thing you can get in trouble for abusing, always keep that in mind.

No. This can be considered abuse as any number of excuses can be used to justify kicking someone for "being bad", including not being the best at their job in the world. Plus, it is very elitist.

I should note that most of these bad players I've met were tanks. Why were they bad? They refused to use any of their tanking skills.
Kitsune Sep 11, 2016 @ 6:09pm
If they aren't dying and they are holding aggro, then there's nothing to complain about. Proper cooldown rotation only really matters when you have content that can threaten you, or your healer is bad.

I mean its up to you to use your own criteria. As the others have stated, it goes both way. And if misused can come back and bite you.

The ones i play with often fail to pull aggro. Only reason they don't die is because I am spamming Cure II (since they lose so much health) often resulting in me running out of MP.
Kitsune Sep 11, 2016 @ 6:34pm
If they keep pulling when a healer has no MP and die because of it, just kick because of Harassment. That's intentionally trolling at that point.

Have you tried giving advice to these players? It's possible they just don't have much experience playing as a tank or maybe just new to MMO's in general. I've come across many people that some might consider "bad" but after some advice they improved quite a bit throughout the dungeon.

It can be pretty difficult sometimes holding aggro in earlier dungeons (level 40 and under), especially with synced down dps and even moreso for a newer tank.

A lot of times you get these people and when you try to help them...they just flip out on you. Not always, mind you, but there's a lot of people out there who actually don't want to learn.

Very true, but it's always better to at least try giving advice first before resorting to vote kicking.

Also now that I'm thinking about it, I think the OP isn't asking for Vote Kick in general to be added, but for "Terribad" to be added as one of the kick options alongside "Harassment" "AFK" and "Offline."

I always do, and if they spit in my face because of it, well, that's harassment and I can totally kick someone for that.

Here's a tip, OP, if you're getting on public content and you aren't liking the skills of people you are getting, you should consider filling a party with people of your choice to do that content. Most of content that really matters having good people you can fill a party to do it.

In your case, it seems to be tank so I'd say theres no way around it. I'd follow others advice, try to advice them on their classes, if they don't do it you can vote kick them with harass, its a multiplayer game, if they aren't there to cooperate or listen that will mess up the dungeon or whatever for the rest of the party, and that configures as harass if I'm not wrong.

Really, though, at level 40+ dungeons, tanks should have learned by now on how to tank. I've told my tanks multiple times to use their tanking skills, but they never listen. I can understand first timers not knowing how to tank, but when your main (or sometimes only) class is a tank and you can't do a good job in a level 40+ dungeon, there is a problem.
