"Rescue" Should be removed

It's a useless ability that is only used for people to pull tanks during dungeons to aggro more then what they may be comfortable with.
Also It's become an ability solely used to troll for the seventh circle. Twice now I've raged quit because some Ahole will use rescue to pull me off one of the bridges.

Why is this still in the game? The utility is non existent as majority of the time it cant be used quick enough to actually save someone.

Rescue is exclusively designed to kill your party for the pvp alliance raids.

Oh no... He''s one of them... In my 9 years playing the game, i've seen that happen maybe twice...Stop pretending it's an every dungeon thing...

Because it's a useful skill, that if used correctly can even save runs.

If you're a real gamer you can just arms length/surecast it. Besides, rescue is a godsend when you get queued with idiots that eat every floor aoe.

2k hours in, healer main, still haven't killed someone this way.

I was rescued out of an AOE during The Dark Inside because I was a newbie still learning it and couldn't parse the mechanics for the rotating platforms.

A friend used it recently to rescue someone in The Dark Inside who was about to get AoE'd due to animation lock from using LB3

Just last week I yanked a DPS to safety after they LB3'd just before the boss started casting an AoE. They even thanked me for it, surprisingly.

Was saved many times from aoes with that, If healer knows mechs and pre-adjust position can easily save some sprouts from dying. So no, at max give a setting to deny all rescue (make it miss on you) if it actually bothers you so much, but I never saw ppl intentially killing others that are NOT in their premade parties.

I will admit to using it on a friend to teach them how to floor tank (much like I used to use misdirection in WoW on folks in my regular raid group), but I would NEVER do it to a stranger. I would 100% deserve it if this irritated one of my friends past tolerance and they reported me for it, too.

If somebody abuses the skill to troll people, report them. It's actionable. They won't get banned, but they WILL be told "we don't do that here" (as long as it's their first offense), and that will solve that.

I'd push people into AoE if i could. Pulling them puts me in danger when i'm not a SGE.

i got a few times saved by rescue
infact. in the alliance raid ... i thing its the sicus tower where we all fight against the behemoth plays one of my friends always healer and i tank the big golem sword thing. so, before the behemoth is done casting its eclypse meteor get i pulled behind the stone via rescue.

there, have you now one example how it can be usefull. tho to be fair, its planned out and am with said friend always in discord call so ... still i got a few times saved via rescue randomly. sometimes was it too late and the snapshot got me tho xD.

i dont get this one tho. why would it putt you into danger if you pull someone out of an AoE as sage?
