Lightning Gear
So, I've decided I'm going to be getting the game soon, is it still possible to get Lightning and Snow's equipment?

Yeah, both outfits are gender-specific. Be sure not to waste money on one you can't use.

Thanks for the warning, I'll be sure to keep it in mind

You also need to know that the gear has level restrictions and stats. It isn't a costume that you just throw over yourself like in most games. There is a system called glamour that you have to be level 50 to unlock that lets you change the appearance. I think lightning coat piece is level 15 if I remember.

Both gear sets are only level 13. You'll replace them almost immediately (The Brand-New gear you get from Hall of the Novice is statistically superior) but it's not like you need to be level 45 to actually equip it. (Even though you had to be level 45 to obtain it; that event was...weird)

Does the Glamour system have a cost? And does it work for weapons and armor?

Yeah, you need to buy Glamour Prisms to make it work, but those are bought with gil, not real money, and they're fairly cheap. If your Free Company (This game's version of Guilds_ and they're pretty cool they may even hook you up with some for free if you ask nice.

Yup, you can make a piece of gear look like any other piece of gear of the same item level or lower. Class and gender restrictions still apply, though, despite how funny I thought it would be to play as a monk wearing White Mage robes...

A cost? Kind of. you have to buy the proper prism to cast it. It's cheap. It does work for weapons and armor, but you have to be able to use the piece the look of which you're trying to glamour. So, say, Im a pld, so I can glamour my sword to look like another sword, but not a lance because I would not be able to use a lance as a pld.

to add to something that was brought up above, you can exchange the snow outfit for the lightning outfit and vice-versa whenever you want at the calamity salvager in any major city.
