FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

What is each server/world known for? Trying to find the right one for me.
What I mean is how a certain server is the roleplaying server and another is the hardcore raiding server and so on and so forth.

Recent research led me to this article:

https://www.gamepur.com/guides/best-servers-to-join-in-final-fantasy-xiv

But on the Final Fantasy XIV subreddit, it was mentioned that it is no longer accurate.

So is there a more up-to-date and ACCURATE list of which servers is for which kind of players?

goblin is filled with 4000 hour insecure people with no chill who bully new players, some of the most toxic people ive ever met on here.

When you do roulettes alot and see rushers or dps who want to tank or make tanks job harder and they chat its always some player from goblin. The goblin server must be dismal.

Servers really don't matter at all except for FCs and the (slight) differences in market board economies. Really you are just fine picking randomly unless you already have friends playing or want to join a specific FC (this games version of a guild). Since party & duty finders are cross world (server; not data centre) all worlds will have populated party/duty finders and even if a world is 'known' for being RP, there will still be plenty of 'hardcore raiders'.

I'm sure. The point was that I wanted to find a server that had the right kind of niche and folks for me. The thread has been helpful for me in that regard. I've since moved to Famfrit. May consider Midgardsormr in the future.

I think you missed the point. Literally every niche is represented on literally ever server. You can be on the most hardcore of hardcore raiding servers and still find an FC that likes to RP tea parties in their FC house every Thursday night.

Crystal Balmung: #1 pvp giga chads and always winning. Home of the legendary, world renowned extreme raiding progression scene. Very friendly and welcoming community.

the reddit joke was funny.

my server has one of these players too, god theyre an eyesore.

Holy hell, did y'all HAVE to devolve my thread into a stupid off-topic argument? It was funny for the first couple of posts, but now it's just obnoxious, annoying and has overstayed its welcome.

Take it somewhere else or report each other and move on. That's enough of this nonsense.

I agree with this, but it doesn't seem like the GMs will do anything about it. As grotto said: They're an eyesore and serve only to bring your framerate down. And Limsa is already laggy with so many people gathering there.

For now, I just deal with it since I don't go there often.

That's my style. Have heard Brynhildr is pretty quiet and not as social, though. The upside is that it seems to be available for new characters most of the time since it has less players on it than the other servers/worlds.

In my experience, chaos is the dc of nationalities with a lacking grasp on english/little willingness to use it. It is the favored DC of the spanish community, to the point that the server ragnarok has thrice the amount of spaniards than the entirety of the Light DC. Eastern europeans tend to favor chaos too, resulting on a higher raider population. Light has a *ton* of germans, anglos and scandinavians.

Avoid Balmung like the plauge.. Unless you're interested into ERP.

I think when you start labeling stuff like the article does, it begins a self-fulfilling reaction.
