Free 1 million Gil

I created a new character on Alpha world. Do I need to purchase subscription in addition to the Steam purchase to get the gil? Did anyone get it?

Edwardlloyd Jul 9, 2022 @ 8:05am

Dont worry to much about gil, its kinda easy to make.

If you're on free trial you're capped at (I think) 300,000 gil. It's unlikely they would award you with a million while you're capped at less than a third of that.

Ah so you're still on the free 30 days with purchase. Once that runs out you'll need to sub to continue playing but the free gil should work.

Mine took a few days after purchasing to appear.

Hope the gil helps, but you'll come to realize if you play long enough it's really not a whole lot and rather easy to make once you've invested some time in crafting/gathering.

Check the trade craft leves, look for for the ones that require a few "easy" items to turn in like, saiga leather, or ingots, etc etc.

Lazy/rich people will "quickly" buy those up to just spam leve turn ins. But you're a bit low for that strategy, so here's what I did to get started.

*cough* Iron ores, tin ores, etc, can be bought from npc's and sold for a profit on the player marketboard. *cough*

Check materia as well, I tend to buy them up under the cost of NPC price and just turn around and npc them. Can't tell you how many times I"ve seen stacks and stacks of materia selling for 10, 15, 20+ gil under the npc selling price.

Ofcourse you'll quickly grow into better gil making strategies but it does give a nice little boost starting out and not having/knowing gil making options.

I made like 40m passively just progging Eureka lol. Maybe 25% of that passively progging through Bozja, and that's not including some of the mounts worth 5M+ I got and just used because SHINY HORN GO HONK.
Also you literally don't need gil unless you are trying (And likely failing) to buy a house, or Sav/Ult raiding where you need to invest in lots of raid foots and pots.
