Limsa Lominsa.
Just a thought. I wanted to start playing arcanist, but I hate Limsa Lominsa so much that I dropped the idea. Who made this city and what for? :D It's super confusing and far to big. Absolute nightmare.

Thank you for this, will definitely watch it while dreaming about erasing the city from the surface of the planet.

Well I don’t know a quick 1 liner to summarize it so… lol. I don’t think I’ve been to Limsa since I was level 60 getting jobs 600 hours ago :praisesun:
Gridania is worse.
Limsa's just busy. When it's quiet during off-peak hours it's fine.

I think you mean better. But seriously, no towns are "bad". They have paths and we can use teleports across them. Limsa is not really the worst as most of it is in a straight line or close to a crystal anyway. Gridania and Limsa are the two easiest town to get around, just saying.

I think you forgot about the market board accessibility. The other cities have their advantages, like Ul'dah has the shortest distance from the aetheryte to GC and Limsa has the shortest distance from aetheryte shard to market board. Meanwhile, Gridania has the worst aetheryte shards placement where they're just far from everything.

I'd say Radz-at-Han is one of the worst city states, sure it's pretty and all, but navigating before finding the aetherytes was a pain and it feels very empty. There's so much unused space, yet they chose to put every vendor in one place rather than spread a few out, I don't think it even has a market board, if it does, I haven't found it yet.
I like LL. New to the game, but easy to navigate. I’m a summoner so it was the first city I got to know.

Radz isn't really a full fledged city, its more of an endgame hub area like Eulmore, Rhalgr's Reach and Idyllshire were. They all have an area where all the vendors are concentrated and no market boards.

Gridania has the fastest access to the inn, for us glam ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this can be an important factor too!

Idyllshire's vendors aren't all in one place, they're all fairly well scattered, given the size of the area and the distance between each group of vendors. The only thing I find odd in any way about Idyllshire is the placement of the Summoning Bell, it's like they printed out a map of Idyllshire, stuck it to a wall and threw a dart at it to decide where to put it, it seems so randomly placed.

Also, back to the OP's topic, I find Limsa Lominsa to be much more tolerable to navigate than Ul'dah, of the starting city states, it is without a doubt the worst in terms of layout, it's borderline labyrinthine in design. It also doesn't help that Ul'dah has the most area transitions, making it annoying to go through on foot.
quickest way to navigate limsa is once you warp in, Just take the crystal to the aftcastle for a quick way from lower to upper

Idyllshire has one of the best layouts IMO. You have your 3 main trade spots inside the big building in clear view, and then you have a market area right across the street that's easy to spot.
The summoning bell is kind of weird tho, yes.

It's kind of sad how the in-game market areas don't actually get used. Kuganes especially would be really cool to see players actually shopping.

It's almost identical to the endgame hub of each expansion. Idyllshire, Rhalgr's Reach, Eulmore and Radz. None of them have marketboards. They pretty much exist exclusively for the 1 room that houses the token exchange vendor for the expansion.
