Concerns and questions regarding subscripton

Hi,

I’m currently considering buying this game on steam after +30h in free trial. The only thing that scares me off it's subscription model. I’m new to MMO and I’ve never had any contact with any sort of subscription.

I've heard that you can pay for sub with your steam wallet through mogstation website and I have general idea how to redeem my code. However I still have some questions:

-Does complete edition contains free 30 days like starter editon ?
-Can I pay for a sub in my currency (PLN), especially with my steam wallet ?
-What happens after x days sub runs out ?
-Do I have to pay every x /each month for a sub ?
If so Will sub cancellation invalidate the remaining days ?
example: If I cancel 30 day sub after 3 days will remaining will be taken away ?

My main concern is inability to pay and possible ramifications because of it...

Regarding the last two questions you have, no if you cancel the remaining days are not taken away from you and yes you must pay each month for a sub. Regarding paying, if your worried about pay methods and such, you can use steam payment to buy a sub, however im not sure if it will auto renew or not. in my opinion the best way to buy a sub if your concerned about auto renew and such, you can buy crysta on the mogstation which in turn use the crysta to buy a sub, you can buy just enough crysta for a one month sub and when it tries to auto renew it automatically cancels due to you only buying one months worth of crysta.

btw, Crysta is 1:1 so 1500 crysta is 15 dollars in turn buys you one months worth of a sub.

No you cant buy crysta with steam wallet, atleast i dont think you can, and yes crysta is used in the mogstation to buy goodies and such

Another thing i may add as i have just researched is that you actually can turn off auto renew on your steam wallet right from the get go. when you chose steam wallet you chose 30/90/120 days and you can choose auto renew or one time payment.

Mogstation stuff is completely unimportant. You can ignore it unless you really, really want to buy something

its aswell important for your subscription plan, its aswell important if you buy the game because you have to enter the key into the mogstation, same with the addon keys. you manage your account overall in the mogstation, you recover your account via mogstation if needed, you enter your recover details (for recovering said account) into your mogstation, you set your password in your mogstation, you manage your companion app in the mogstation (if you use that), you manage your extra retainers in the mogstation etc. blabla and so on.

someone like you which says that the mogstation is not important will surely complain later when you loose access to their account. the mogstation is the CENTER of your square enix account, without the mogstation would you not even have an account ... and you say "its not important" wtf ... the mogstation dosnt even handles the store stuff... that does the FF14 store page NOT the mogstation ... >_> do you even have any idea what you talk about?

yes

yes, just putt the money into your steam wallet and authorize the SE site to take the money from your wallet via one time payments

-What happens after x days sub runs out ?
you wont be able to play anymore until you renew your subscription, if this question had the sense of "can i go back to trail status" no, it is not possible to go back to trail status after you bought the game and no, canceling your subscription plan will not invalidate your remaining days, your mogstation will tell you the date when your subscription ends.

and for what jhonny said isnt true either, you can buy crysta via steam wallet tho, you wont need them. you´ll use mainly the steam payment option, then using either newcommer or standard and choosing the one time payment on the right side. you can not choose auto renewal unless you have a credit card registred on your account or any other valid payment method (paypal excluded)

No, you don't. I handle my subscription completely through the steam client. I do not go near the mogstation.

We were talking about crysta... You're being awfully condescending for someone who isn't even comprehending the conversation right. Yes, you can do account maintenance on the mogstation. No, you do not need crysta. Which is what the discussion was about.

Check to see if you can get an "Entry Level" sub, it's a little cheaper and all it does is limit how many characters you can have on a server, unless you're planning to make more then 8 characters on the same world, it's nice to do, saves a bit of money in the long run.

yes, just putt the money into your steam wallet and authorize the SE site to take the money from your wallet via one time payments

I pay my sub with steam wallet, there is an option to auto renew or not. I always choose not to auto renew.

As far as I am aware you have to go to mogstation to renew, how are you renewing from steam?

As far as I am aware you have to go to mogstation to renew, how are you renewing from steam?

From what I've researched first you have to redeem your code you get on steam. You have to redeem it on mogstation in order to even play.

That was my experience as well, I was curious how the guy was claiming to be playing without using mogstation at all. As far as I am aware that is simply not possible.

Probly setup with auto renewal recurring payments through steam payment on mogstation a long time ago so everything is done automatically without them noticing.

I just do the one time steam payment method on mogstation for when I want to play so I don’t have to cancel the auto renewal every time im not playing.

It has run out sub multiple times and I can renew it completely through the steam client.

Now, you probably have to log on to the mogstation once to set this up the first time, I don't know. It's been too long. Again, I *never* claimed you don't have to log in to the mogstation, I was talking about Crysta. And then I was mostly upset about the unwarranted toxic reply I was given
