Every crossover event with another Final Fantasy game was cross-promotion of some kind. Lightning Strikes was to promote Lightning Returns, Maiden's Rhapsody was to promote Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, and Nocturne for Heroes came out a month after Episode Ardyn. Even Burgeoning Dread came out less than a year after Seekers of Adoulin. And Return to Ivalice started only three months after the release of Zodiac Age.

But it's been 7 years since the last new release of anything related to Type-0. If they didn't do anything when the HD version came out, they're not going to do anything now. You'll have to settle for the hairstyles.
