The Patch Error Code 30437 indicates that something on your end is not responding to the server, it's a user timeout error. This can happen due to any of the following below:
1. Firewall
2. Router Firewall / Port Blocking
3. Lack of Open Ports
4. ISP Blocking
Quick ways to diagnose are to disable / open up each of these one at a time. The final one can be gotten around with a VPN. There are a bunch of free ones on the internet.

edit: its on their launcher FAQ ... lol so, its officially documented XD.
in anycase.
@OP if your trouble with the original launcher persists, google quick launcher for FF14.
follow its instructions and dont forget to tick the steam box thing since you have a steam account.
the launcher has a save password option too, so you dont need to enter it all the time. just make sure to write your PW somewhere down since human kind has the habbit of forgetting passwords if something has an option like that ^^.
