Failed to patch error code [30437]
Ive had problems sence my friend gifted me the game, first install said failed to patch, so i verified integrity, results said " 44 missing files" so i allowed it to repair (it basically reinstalled the game from about 30%). When it completed the repair i verified again, but to only to get the exact same "44 missing files" and it started redownloading the game...again from about 30%...so i uninstalled and reinstalled...Now im patching to about 1700MB of the patch only to recieve error code [30437]. Ive tried searching the code on google and both forums but noone seems to know. Ive also submitted a ticket, but with no reply....also i have gone though and turned off all firewalls etc.....any ideas?

1. NEVER EVER VERIFY THE CACHE OF A GAME ON STEAM WITH AN EXTERNAL LAUNCHER. It will always reset you to square one. This is also in the FAQ at the top of this forum.

2. Stop verifying the cache.

3. No really, stop verifying the cache.

The Patch Error Code 30437 indicates that something on your end is not responding to the server, it's a user timeout error. This can happen due to any of the following below:

1. Firewall
2. Router Firewall / Port Blocking
3. Lack of Open Ports
4. ISP Blocking

Quick ways to diagnose are to disable / open up each of these one at a time. The final one can be gotten around with a VPN. There are a bunch of free ones on the internet.

Yet people from 7 years ago knew "The Patch Error Code 30437 indicates that something on your end is not responding to the server, it's a user timeout error"

Are everyone on the internet guessing ? Is that what you trying to tell me ?

how can someone explain it if it is undocumented. it must´ve been written down somewhere if someone knows about it right?
edit: its on their launcher FAQ ... lol so, its officially documented XD.

in anycase.
@OP if your trouble with the original launcher persists, google quick launcher for FF14.
follow its instructions and dont forget to tick the steam box thing since you have a steam account.
the launcher has a save password option too, so you dont need to enter it all the time. just make sure to write your PW somewhere down since human kind has the habbit of forgetting passwords if something has an option like that ^^.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
