Graphics overhaul

Hey,
i heard the game is getting a graphic update in the future that comes "pieces by pieces" and that they already updated the lighting it seems.
is it true? is it nice?

They're planning to update the graphics in some places by the launch of the next expansion (in roughly two years). It's going to be things like updated character models (but not looking massively different, just meant to look the same with more detail), updated lighting, adding more clutter to the environment to make places look less empty.

There haven't been any updates done yet to the game as a whole, they recently reworked some dungeons from the base game and with that they did a new pass on the lighting and some other things, but that was more bringing those areas up to the standard of the rest of the game.

I mean they already showcased some texture and lighting overhauls on characters.

Thank you (i'm late i know), it's been a year now since this article, does any of those changes got implemented already or we got to wait for the 7.0 to see all of them added?

I want to play the game again but i'm waiting for those graphic updates before diving in for good :p

The graphics updates will start with 7.0. They haven’t changed anything yet.

okidoki, from what i could gather, we'll got an update on how it's going in July.
i would have love to see those updates implemented here and there but yes it will be release for the 7.0 only, maybe end of 2023.

If you're waiting for a graphical upgrade that is not that significant to play the game maybe the gameplay is not appealing enough for you?

i got 600h on it, i like the game. It's just that i want to continue and finish the main story with the graphic update. I got other games to play so i can wait, simple as that. :)
i was just curious about how it was going.
