In the end as long as are enough player playing so u can do all content it doesn't really matter. My server is still full of players. And the playercount was back in the days way lower.

Like it got said earlier in the post steam is not the only platform where it running. Probably the lowest part of it.But in the end nobody nows how much active players the game has rn unless square giving information out about it. Aslong as u can do every content still it doesn't really matters.

You know how ads for MMOs always fluff up their numbers to look more populated than they actually are? No MMO has ever made a claim as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as "WoW has almost 120 million users".
