Message of ff14 answer's song
Just starting this game and really loved the answer song. Sure this has been discussed a 1000 times but I am kinda curious. Is the song trying to portray the pattern we see in society?

Like it starts with suffering, like a bunch of people in pain/enslaved by some foreign entity.
Then you have a messiah of some sort, promising to release their pain and they decide to trust and fight with him. Afterwards, they find out that when he becomes the new leader they are still suffering, realizing that there is no escape from it.

Is this about right?

My dumb self thought it was an allusion to Hegel's "We learn from history that we do not learn from history." which unfortunately proves to be a somewhat true axiomatic expression.

If you've just started the game, any answer would have to reference parts of the game that you haven't reached yet.

Come back if after you've finished Endwalker if you still have questions as to the meaning of the song.

Onee-san / Onii-san (sister or Brother) with respect.
I am not sure what you are 'actually' asking.
The ;song' you speak of is, something depicted from XPAC2, being Heavensward.

However, you do not seem to speak of such.

What actual 'song' do you speak?
The one from XPAC2 or from XPAC5?

I cannot aid you in any way if we are not clear on your words, and intent.

You are speaking of Heavenward.
Yes, it starts with suffering a 1000 year war.
But who will stand against it? The 'Ice Queen' alone?
No. We will press on together. So... Scions, where do we go from here?

If that is not it, there is no other song to be sung.

Specifically Answers was retroactively given meaning in Endwalker.

No, this is not right, at all.

There was a perceptive 'end' - something the Heads of State thought that happened when they were engulfed with the 'light'. But... there is another part. One they did not see 'because' they were engulfed with light, then transported to another place.

Anything else would be considered a 'spoiler' and I will not speak upon.

Although...
If you wish to know how this ends, finish the Bahamut coils.
If you finish them all, your will be given not only your answer, but the answer to a few things.

Answers goes way past end of Bahamut coils.

Answers could be referred to as the theme song for the main story arc of ARR through Endwalker.

You will only get the full meaning of the song once you go through a good majority of the game, well into Endwalker. Bahamut coils are during base game.

I mean if you really want the answer, pun intended, then you can play the game to the end...walker.

Or if you just want a joke answer, it's about how when you make a pie you want to make sure the filling is thick enough to not become watery.

But also in all seriousness, sometimes meaning is just what we think or feel. You can take meaning for the now, for what you think it might be. But also find meaning through the story.
