FINAL FANTASY XIV Online
"A connection error has occurred please try again later."
Cannot log into ffxiv via launcher through steam as I cannot connect to servers.

"A connection error has occurred please try again later."

Cannot access square enix nor mogstation in chrome either, the sites cannot be reached.



I've tried reseting my net but it won't change anything. Anyone ever dealt w this before? Are servers down rn?

I'm so glad I'm not the only one suffering this... and I've tried just about anything I can, up to, and including fresh installs of the game, internet resets and so on... even changed to the old client... only to be met with the following error:

A system error has occurred: -2146697211
HTTPS System Error

Yet on my phone I can still access all of the stuff. I'm also with OPTUS, so I think our ISP has some explaining to do >.>

yeah yeah im trying to call optus, Its an issue with optus and the game is still not working!. and optus keeps dodging the question and stuff. Its really bad. I still dont have access to FFXIV and any of the websites like the lodestone or mogstation. Its an issue if you are using Optus. and we all need to call and abuse optus for being ♥♥♥♥!

Yeah same here, i play on tonberry and last night got kicked and havent been able to do anything. i tried to call optus. its an optus NBN issue because i connected it to my phone and it worked.

Yeah we should all boycot optus, Im trying to report the issue and one chick pretended like she couldnt hear me and hung up on me, I bring up the topic and they basically tell me to get a game pass. I should have to pay for something that has worked for 8 years of me playing. Im gonna call the ombudsman because this issue only started to happen since optus decided to bring about the Game Path. They are basically trying to force everyone to buying it, but breaking something that wasnt broken before.

yeah well thats what it seems like. I have played this game since it launched and now all of a sudden the servers lag and spike and now dont connect. It kinda all adds up. I think i will change ISP soon too. im fed up with them, and i cant believe how money hungry they are. Do they not realise we are getting an Aussie server soon.

I'm sure there is some truth in this, they realise nobody's buying their trash gaming service :/

3rd call and i have been hung up on. everyone call optus!
And here i thought it was only me suffering this, same issue is its the Optus landline isn't working for the game or website, they themselves cant seem to figure out whats wrong with it.

Yeah im on the phone with them now also finally. and they dont know whats going on. its been happening since last night. and still not fixed. They have no idea whats happening. I honestly blame game path, they keep trying to ask if its a gamepath issue. and i said NO One is getting game path haha! Stop trying to make gamepath happen LOL

Whats weird is, my Phone uses its own Optus Internet and i can access Mogstation through that but moment i flick Wi-fi on to my modem/router it just dies in access, the fact it only is afflicting FF14 makes it all the stranger too.

OMG i tested that also! same with me, worked on 4G. I think its the routing of the NBN to japan thats the issue. They are actually useless. I have the Ombusman number which will be my next call. This game has been ♥♥♥♥ since about July for optus players.
