Grand company ranks, what happen?

Did square completely forgot this exist? like at this point i lost hope the next tier of ranks will be never released, which is a shame because I really enjoy the feature.

It's been updated twice, once with First Lieutenant in 3.4, then again with Captain in 4.4.

We hold out hope for more ranks much like a child hopes for a pony for Christmas; we know it probably won't happen but it might.

Last thing I read was that they want the higher ranks to feel more meaningful, as in do more to earn them than sending your guys on a mission and have someone come in and tell you
"Oh by the way you got promoted, bye"

On your character sheet, if you click on your Grand Company rank, it will show you every rank, including ones that aren't currently attainable.

GC specific housing/headquarters might be nice. Storm = Warship / Flames = A lot of tents with a big tent in the middle... / Adder = Treehouse (Trunkhouse)

If I were a betting man, I would wager the next expansion has a high probability of having the last set of ranks finally obtainable. Just a hunch.

You have to build up your Squad and do Missions/Operations with them to rank up further.

So, at some point when you can't go higher, you can unlock Squadrons. They're NPCs you're in charge of and have to level doing command missions in their room. You recruit them through completing challenge log entries. Eventually, you unlock special missions to rank up and even unlock doing specific dungeons with them (of which you will need to do five of them, but they can't be the same dungeon over and over) to unlock the mission you do to rank up to Captain.

you will if you recruit enough, completing some challenge log entries will get you recruits.
