[Endwalker Spoiler] Lore wise, who are those strangers in instances helping me kill what needs to be killed?
So i'm supposed to be the WoL and i'm supposed to be stronger than most out there.
How can those strangers keep up with me?

whenever there is teleportation, time travel, alternate dimensions, unbound magicks, immortals, soul switching, body possession, memory erasing, talking rabbits and characters that only change their clothes every 2 expansions, you just go with the flow...

like your watching a saturday morning cartoon

They are your fellow warriors of light.

Most of the lore breaks down if you try to make gameplay mechanics fit inside it

You used the Stone of Azem to pull them from other Shards/universes to help you out. Exactly like you did when you fought Elidibus and like what the Exarch did when you fought Hades. These (and onwards) are like the only time the other players are explained in trials, before that they're written in as a joke to explain their presence or are pretty much non-canon, just there for gameplay.

Adventurers at first, later warriors of light or heroes from other shards.

Or my personal favourite from the most recent raid release, illusions made from a certain someones magic and your own strength.

Or you could think of it as versions of yourself from alternate timelines that deviated slightly from your own, maybe they are a different gender, maybe they are a different class etc. You summon them to help you in your story, they summon you to help with theirs when you queue up in the duty finder. Use your imagination.

Literally on the moon you use the Stone of Azem to summon them. Did... Did you miss the giant summoning circle?

Do we have 7 shards out of 13 left?

We we summon some strangers out of thin air who can keep up with Eorzeas Champion?
Why arent we summoning someone who can help bring clothes to others while the world is going down?

they are warriors of light from different shards. azem crystal doesn't get used up everytime you use it, this was explained before.

The warrior of light does bring clothes to people. Well food mostly. And we summon other warriors of light. So it makes sense they can handle their own if they can also handle delivering tea.

They're adventurers.

There aren't even 8 WoL left as Ardbert merges with you. Which makes the WoL a 8/13 even if their shard is 7/13.

Those saying they're other WoL from other shards are sorely mistaken.

Because we only use it in times of great need. We can handle all that other stuff. We cannot tank a giant world-ending boss alone. They're other Echoes, sure, but Echoes are fairly common, and the joke is they're our buddies and we no longer need the convoluted "maybe seven of your adventurer friends are fishing nearby in the Ruby Sea???" thing.
