So, no viera hats?

Did I miss it or are they really not adding more options for viera hats in the near future? I get that it would be a lot of work for every item in the game, but at least give us some few selected basic ones. Those hoods and tiaras are not doing it or me

Honestly I wouldn't mind a tickbox in the character settings allowing us to use hats for Viera despite the clipping. Like a "don't care about weird results" button

It's less the devs' fault and more SE's fault. SE robs the FFXIV coffers to keep their other franchises on life support. Most of the money FFXIV makes does not get put back into the game. What Yoshi and his team do for this game is nothing short of a miracle considering how SE treats them financially.

it could be done like with miqote - just do not add ears on hats and problem solved.
It would look alright, and it's still better than do not have near any hat at all.
And imo it's better than clipping ears.

You speak as if hats were THAT important. Especially versus viera ears. I'll just disagree with this myself. It would not make sense anyway, you can't just make long viera ears disappear into a dimensional pocket. In the big logic of things, most hats just weren't made for them.

Well, I do like hats. 12\15 of my glamours have hats, and I bought one costume specifically for a hat (and another one for a hair), so I was quite disappointed that I can't use it on Viera since these two are my favored appearance items.

So no-hats is really a turn-off for me. If some ppl enjoy Viera without hats - im quite happy for them, truly. One less thing to worry about.

Shame we can't wear both, why would you wear a hat on a game that allows you to have perfect anime hair at all times? If it's a colour clash, just change your hair colour to match the outfits.

Most of the hats in the game look silly anyway, calfskin cap making your head look tiny, beanies looking like helmets..
