So, no viera hats?

Did I miss it or are they really not adding more options for viera hats in the near future? I get that it would be a lot of work for every item in the game, but at least give us some few selected basic ones. Those hoods and tiaras are not doing it or me

Some new hats are visible, such as reaper set hat, but most are not.

There is a mod that makes hats visible on Viera. Of-course it will only be visible for you and anyone else using the mod.

But that's what I'm talking about. They clearly adjusted other existing options to fit, so they can do it for some hats as well. Smile

Please understand. Square Enix is a small indie company so they cant make sure that all cosmetic items fit on all the races they added to this small indie game.

Well guess they have some much more important problems actually, but I am sure they will add some hats after this mess has settled. They did it in the past as far as I know for other races, so they will probably do again.

My advice would be to get together some like-minded individuals, settle on a small selection of hats you and yours would like to see adjusted, and then use the Suggestion Box tab of the Support Desk in-game -- you and the like-minded all -- to get that info to the relevant parties effectively.

I do not recommend using the forums for obvious reasons.

I know for a fact that suggestions like this can and do work. I was part of a group that worked to suggest in-game settable timers, and that's exactly how that got done. My advice would be to keep the list relatively short (maybe 10 items to start?) and engaging respectfully while presenting y'all's position (I would suggest also noting that it's a bit offputting to have so few headwear options while one's friends have many more options, and maybe even tie it into being an extension of their work on genderless gear for this patch?)

It won't happen overnight, and there's a chance it may not happen. Folded-ear variants in particular look like they'd be hell to mod, and I've been sitting here for the past 20 minutes trying my best (and largely failing) to determine where on a top hat a viera's ears would go. But that would be a facet best touched on by someone with more experience in character/accessory modeling.

I was waiting for this to be brought up in the discussion lol.
So many people were pumped and excited when they showed off the male Viera. My reaction was like "oh cool, so they finally added the male version, but the big question is the headgear and larger variety of hairstyles".

I had a feeling there was going to be some complaint repeat like what happened when the female Viera came out lmao.

I had a feeling it'd come up again too, the Viera are still largely incomplete compared to the other races, and I wager we will not see anything in terms of additional headgear until female Hrothgar get added.

Also, 5 new hairstyles, 4 of which were unlocks was nowhere near enough in my opinion, considering how few they had beforehand. I just want to use the Early to Rise hairstyle on my female Viera.

That's actually a good point. The game has all sorts of clipping issues, I don't know what's the big deal with Viera's ears.

I think most helmets would look weird with metal over the ears anyway. Would look better with them hanging out.
