Dont buy Endwalker right now and dont stay silent
Hi homies, this message is just for all the "NORMAL REAL LIFE people" with jobs, responsabilities, limited time to spend their free gaming hours, or/and families to take care of... and are out there venting their frustration with the launch of Endwalker and its currents problems at hand.

Inform yourself first about the semiconductor shortages, the problem with producing new servers, etc. before reading.

BEWARE: if you are someone being condescending with others because you think you are right based on the statements of SE, or you think you can invalidate others way to feel about this situation just because you think you are right about some of the facts, please leave, dont argue with anyone here, this will not be the place for it.

Not, the important part of the topic...

DONT BUY ENDWALKER RIGHT NOW. Until the situation is fixed, and it can be very variable, I would tell you to not to buy it because you wont be able to play it the way its intended: to login and to play almost instantly.

If you have already bought it: I have been searching and it looks there is no way to suspend your current subscription. Im sorry that we all have wasted out well earned money, but if someone knows of a way to recover it or at least to pause the subcription, you are free to post it. There has been people giving false information regarding this, that instead, it erases your character, stop the autorenewal payments, etc. Beware.

But the most importante part of all: DONT STAY SILENT. A lot of people wants for us to shut up thinking we are wrong to react the way we are doing. I have always defended this game with passion against haters, but this situations is totally different this time.

BE VOCAL IN EVERY MEDIA YOU CAN so that we dont get censored by the "others" (The official forums, Facebook, Twitter, Rerddit, Instagram, Steam).

TRY TO CHANGE YOUR REVIEW FROM POSITIVE TO NEGATIVE on the base game. Change it later if you feel that all the problems are addressed some time afterward.

GIVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW ON THE EXPANSION if possible. Change it later if you feel that all the problems are addressed some time afterward.

DONT FALL TO PROVOCATIONS and dont argue with someone who just want to cancel the way you feel about this.

DONT INSULT, you are just wasting more time hating just for the sake of it against someone that clearly thats its aim.

Again: DONT. STAY. SILENT.

Stay strong homies, this is a bad situation and its okay to feel frustrated.

:D.....These posts are getting more ridiculous......You are right.......it is ok to be frustrated, i have been too but just because queue times etc you want everyone give negative review to base game?:D......Is it "punishment" for the Square Enix or something?:D........If ya dont have any patience ya should wait few weeks/ months but we all know that you will be back: )......See ya in the 2022 latest.......And no.......its not Asmongolds fault.

You must hate your friends....since they will continually be kicked out of queue they spend hours end....I would not want you as a friend.

None of what you posted was worth the time you took to post it. While I will admit the whole changing reviews on the base game is silly, the point of Square failing to even try to address this issue (seven days extra ain't cutting it) when they could easily have people have have been logged in a certain amount of time kicked off and keep them from logging back on for a certain amount of time. Easy peasy and solved....

Logging someone out if they are actively playing the game is not a good solution. I feel like this solution just comes from a lack of understanding, and a "I wanna play so kick others off mentality". I'm not a software engineer, so I am not going to pretend I know what it takes to solve an issue like this, as it is more complex than most think, but I am pretty sure this is not a good solution.

This happens to every MMO, especially popular ones. It is worse than normal though as they can't get servers right now, even though they tried to expedite the process 6 months ago.

The world doesn't revolve around you, so please find something else to do if you don't have the patience to wait.

P.S Error 2002 and having to baby the launcher is frustrating, but they are addressing that along with a series of other errors this evening.

What? You can easily suspend your subscription. Even for years.

I do this since the release of FF14 Online because I only play occassionally. I never lost any characters.

You're wording is hard to understand, did you literally say. "To solve the situation just boot active playing players offline so I can get in queue, then make it so those booted from the game can't rejoin because they are on cooldown" ??? If so, that's probably the most asinine solution I have ever heard.

jesus christ, the expansion just came out like 3 days ago, obviously it's not going to be perfect, especially since this is one of their biggest expansions ever. Also, I believe this is the highest the player base for this game as ever been... god forbid they have a few issues a few days after a brand new release...and your stupid comment about "kick people off who have been on for a long time" is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ selfish. gtfo. I have a job too, but I still manage. Also, the servers just went down, they have been working on these issues, and addressing them as well.

You not staying silent won't make those chips get produced any faster, buddy.

A lot of what's happening right now is perfectly explainable with the state of the world as it is. Yes, some errors like the 2002 for example can most likely be fixed and isn't a result due to chip shortage, but reading from your post, you're more bummed about not being able to play nearly instantly. Which is fair, I wish I could too.

However, i'd argue this expansion release is the only time it has a genuine and legitimate reason as to why it's bad. The game didn't just get more popular, they also quite literally cannot get more servers due to said chip shortage.


I'm not sure why people think developers love to tank their own games in these days as if it's all pre planned and intentional.

Agreed. Bad idea.
It's fine to be frustrated. It's fine to be annoyed. But review bombing the game isn't going to do anything. We know in between the lines in your post you're just complaining about the queue times. And you know, that's okay.

But it's not going to change anything.

This is an expansion launch and along with the supply issues there are going to be issues with server congestion, stability, and obviously, outages. Although, mostly all of that has been addressed. Yoshi-P has been extremely transparent with the current issues and even warned up in advance before Endwalker Early Access release with issues that may arise.

He's already given everyone who has a subscription or 30 days free for first buyers, 7 free days of game time as an apology for the issues. So I'll say it again, review bombing isn't going to do anything.

Except make you look like a jerk.

So do what everyone else is doing and wait in queue like everyone else or find the optimal time where it's less congested. Or better yet, wait a couple weeks before trying to play. Now that the game is fully released, server congestion is at an all time high, but in a week or two weeks time, it'll start cooling off.

Endwalker will always be here waiting. There's other games out there you can play in the meantime. Halo Infinite, CoD: Vanguard, to name a few.
