And the easiest to learn.
Paladin still a great off-tank.
Gunbreaker is... okay.
Dark Knight needs a TON of help. Everything they can do the Warrior does way better, synergies better, and is much easier to use.
aggressively casual.
hahaha.
but i think more likely passive aggressively casual. its why ive kept my sub for years and been next to no where progression edgelord in this game. but that there is also a latent fear that this bile energy from the wow community will show up here. the gold farming spam scumbags have already been here the whole time. once they have a hardbaked store page on the default action bars in this game i will probably already have left.
On a similar note there is job overview guides on the internet which gives a brief description on the playstyle and rotations of each class. Some are highly static like Dragoon, some are highly proc based like Bard, some are mainly toolboxes like White Mage, and some are a good mix. Just pick whatever looks cool and remember you can level every job on one character and that there is exp buffs for leveling jobs lower than your highest job level so never feel too worried about sunk cost if your job choice doesn't pan out. I advise to at the very least take your class up to atleast through heavensward since that is when a lot of classes start having decently sized toolkits in the current version and get enough off-gcd's where the pace starts picking up.
Actually had a SAM once think they were top dps by sheer virtue of being a SAM... yeahhh they weren't lol.
If you really care about the meta (Which is only something to worry about if you want world-first raid clears or setting world record clear times) then honestly, you'll have to wait.
I'd safely say BLM but if the new raid has us constantly dancing, no one will want a BLM.
what annoys me is the state of mind that there was on wow coming on ff14 while i came on ff14 to avoid anything that contributed to kill wow.
on top of that he is a new player and demands the strongest class .... seriously ...
Every game has a meta. People have been min/maxing XIV for a long time before the WoW exodus. Some jobs do things better than other jobs. Always have, always will.
is that what I said? on the contrary I am for people to play what they like but not be based on "who is the best class in the game" especially when you are starting out
