Is it worth it to pentameld classical gear or wait for a new set right now?
Hey! It's a silly question, but what I mean is that I'm a bit afraid of pentamelding a set due to the coming of new content patches + gear (I don't really know when the next one is coming, but still).

I don't do savages, but I really like doing extremes and all, so that's why the current crafted gear caught my attention.

I know that THERE WILL BE better gear, but should I pentameld a classical set now or wait for the next crafted/tomestone/raid gear?

Also, one more thing: What are the preferred melds for Paladin? Any tips?

Don't see much point in pentamelding if you don't do savage.

Maybe pentamelding for extremes is just too much then... Thought I'd just go for the best thing possible to make clears easier...

Guess it's better to just stick with Limbo gear or normal melds for Classical then.

Pentamelding is literally only useful for early savage prog.

Thanks for the advices! I'm... kind of afraid of savages, so I'll just save my money and go for standard gear then!

I didn't see that you asked about PLD melds.

Most people go for skill speed until 2.41 or 2.42 GCD then Crit > DH = Det

Thanks! I'll update my set to reach that SkS threshold and Crit/Det/DH stats!

I personally wouldn't pentameld combat gear at all if I am not doing savage due to the gearing changes every patch cycle switching things up like 590 gear dropping in the upcoming alliance raid despite probably having 565 min ilvl requirement or potentially augmented moonward / classical gear in future patches.

I guess just normal melding would suffice if you struggling with extremes imo, save the pentamelding for crafter accessories or something.
