'The Crimson Duelist' battle impossible

X'rhun keep dying quickly in this battle against this Sarameya beast boss. He's healing me but not healing him self...wtf? Also, I can't cast potions on him to heal him, why not? This quest is ridiculously hard, and I've attempted it over 10 times with no success.

Is it possible to beat this quest at level 50, or should I level up to 55 or 60 for redmage?

Leveling won't mkae a difference as you'll be scaled down for the instance. You simply need to burn the boss faster. If you're playing correctly you should have no problem ripping aggro onto yourself and then you'll be fine

you have to make use of your full kit in that fight it took me a few tries to, but think of it as a skill check to make sure you have decent gear and know the skills like the back of your hand.
