Why there is no "Search" in Inventory, Quest Log, Dungeons or anywhere?
Just imagine if you could simply type what you need to find in your inventory. But no, instead, when you obtain an item, it can only tell in which tab in the inventory you can find the item (without even telling which row). Need to teleport somewhere you have not been to in half a year? Good luck finding it now.
Just why? Is it difficult to implement that in the game? If there was add-in support, at least someone could have tried to make the life easier, but yeah, one can only wish

You can search your quest log....

How shocking it must be to not know about the "/isearch <item name>" command for your chat.

1. I have already mentioned this way of searching (it is the same as when you obtain a new item). It is bad, does not tell you where the item is precisely.
2. Good to know something like that exists. Use a command that was never introduced in-game to search for an item. UI masters much

It's because you need to use your eyes... It can't be that hard, right? If the game says page 3 of your inventory then you go on page 3 of your inventory and use your eyes and find it. The only criticism I'll agree with here is the lack of dungeon search because this is annoying...
Imagine defending the absence of a simple search bar.

Ah, yes, completly unnecesary feature - to find something in 700 slot inventory

/isearch tells you the number of items and which tab it's in (and in which retainer / or in your glamour chest / or anywhere else). It doesn't have row / column, but it gets narrowed down to a single chunk of inventory, which is not 700 slots to look through!

It's pretty cool, you should try it and see how it works. Saved me a headache a time or twelve, lol. I mean yeah, it's a command line and not a gui, but...that's really not a problem?

I tried it, it's much less useful than a proper search. And yes, adding row/column would be a great addition.

I don't understand. How is it not a proper search? Is it because it's not a gui? Search goes in, location of item comes out. You can also right-click items and find them, both in inventory and crafting recipes if you have any relevant ones.

I hope that ctrl + f is removed from every existing browser and Windows. Seems that people do not need it

Because it gives half of information needed to quickly find an item.

because proper search is what you use in every desktop app, on your phone or in your browser. weird console command is not a proper search

My condolences. Can't even imagine how poorly something like grep performs in enterprise scale

P.S. I can't remember off the top of my head, but game does not teach you about console commands anyway?

There's an option in game that changes the inventory UI to be one large inventory instead of broken down in tabs. Items fill the inventory in order. They don't get placed randomly.

Its never been an issue for me because I bother to keep my inventory organized. I guess if your inventory is complete chaos then *shrug* that's a you problem, but I see no need for a search function.
