also btw, gonna need some context here....those phrases seem more like responses, as in something or someone triggered them into saying it.
especially on how strict the GM are nowadays when it comes to player behavior not many are going to risk incurring their wrath by acting like an ass to random stranger in a dungeon
"Hey, turn on your stance."
>no response and never turns stance on
>gets kicked
"WTF why did I get kicked?! People are so toxic now!"
Also if it's every dungeon, then you do the maths; you're quite obviously the problem.
Be sure to tell the whole story, and not just the parts that make you look like the victim. Because no one who makes these threads ever does that, it usually takes some prodding before they show their true colors.
And what did you expect, exactly? You post a thread about how you feel the community is getting worse with just two out of context quotes, victimizing yourself, and calling other people idiots... That sounds exactly like "crying".
Playing without the chat on is the worst thing to do, and saying that this is a dangerous place for solo players is just plain false.
Maybe if you asked why "your limit break is wrong" rather than turning the chat off you might have learned something. Or you would have been able to identify the one saying that as an aggressive player and moved on.
Isolating yourself is your own choice, but remember that this is an MMO, meant to be played with other people and mostly with people you don't know and will never encounter again after your run.
Just for a brief: ~7000 hours of Dota2, ~1.200 hours of CSGO. I know how toxicity looks like and how to void such behavior. As a experienced competitive player, i'm telling you: this kind of problem is coming to FFXIV.

My first case happened during Heavensward, when we are facing Niddhog. I had a terrible habit where i made use of LB as soon as he transformed into his second stage playing as DPS. A guy complained about that, and i completely understood and stopped. I recognize i was wrong and learned from it. In trials and intense battles against one boss with multiple stages/forms/mechanism, you need to be careful about that. The party will face the same ugly guy for many minutes (15~25min). Any mistake will be highly punished by the game. A LB3 for healers is always useful in such scenarios.
As the game goes on, the same happened in Stormblood. You see, the boss was not that hard, we had LB3 and no one used for a huge amount of HP. When the boss reached 10%, i made use of it. People complained because a magical DPS should not use LB on boss...damnt
Then i didn't worried anymore because i noticed that YOU can use LB3 as ranged DPS if no one else is using it. Why you should not use something that is suppose to make your life easier? no one died, the thing was there and no one was using it.
The recently case was a shame. My friend finally reached the end game, yaaay!
I started to play after him and i reached the end of Stormblood some months before he even started to play Heavensward. He was excited about Shadowbringers because of OST and atmosphere of many printscreens, etc. During our second NIER Raid, everything was right and fun, many people there was a beginner. As the raid goes on, he started to make some comments about visuals and mechanisms. During Compound boss, he said "This is finally the moment 'this is not even my final form...?'" and a guy just said 'JUST THE Fck UP!' dude...you can block or silence players you know? and some people was talking to him nicely before. He stopped, astonished.
When the boss reached the second form, you know what happens. She start to teleport more and you need to be careful if you'll cast something. One of our alliance didn't died at any moment so i supposed that they are very experienced and maybe a static group. When the boss reached 19%, i casted the LB3 as a RDM. One of our guys complained about it, 'stupid RDM ruined our game' and another person joined him. WHY? When someone died, i helped to raise, i helped to heal, i did nothing wrong and the alliance B casted it too when she stopped to move.
The problem is that we have many people that want to impose her own style or strategy. If you are playing at the extreme/savage level, you are supposed to find a static group and create strategies to beat these challenges. Why do you complain about random people even when everything is alright in normal dungeons/raids?
Is always this fight for EGO, dude, it's not because never happened to you that never happened to anyone else. Stop being this kid of person, you are not helping.
If you see anything like that, please, be someone nice. I already give up because i know where this is going, but if i was a new player, i would hate it and maybe i would quit this game.
And yes, i know meele DPS is better against boss, but not one remember to use that, in the end, i never ruined a run because of LB, but they always complain like is the end of the world. This, and anything else.
Thank you for your tip.
