If I'm from australia am I stuck with european servers?

Want to know this before I get the game. Not very keen on playing in european servers since the ping would be stupid high.

From what I hear, take a look at the Tonberry server. I believe it is a Japanese server that is used by Australian players.

I'm an Australian playing on an EU data centre and there is very little ping to speak of.

Aside from the ping issue you will have a prime time issue, where most people are sleeping or working when you want to play. So depending on your sleep cycle Asia or NA would likely be a better choice.

Don't really have an issue there either, as I only play early morning and afternoons. NA would be worse actually, there would be actually noticeable ping.

We had someone from australia in our FC who switched servers because it suited his needs better. When you are playing early morning this would be late night in central europe, which seems fine since eastern euro and far east you still got prime time.

Can confirm. JP data centres for ping. if you pick tonberry or kujata in Elemental there alot of english speaking players. im from NZ myself and play on tonberry

My friend lives in Sydney and plays on a European server with us and deals with virtually no ping issues. I don't think it matters all too much really.
