Can't get free login campaign

Hello everyone! I have played FFXIV off and on the past couple of years. Wanted to come back for free login campaign. I attempt to login and it says I either do not have a valid licence of FFXIV (I bought the game with the shadow bringers DLC on steam) or my subscription has run out (which is like... the point?). I'm not exactly sure what is going on and if anyone else has had similar issues.

"This service account does not have a valid FINAL FANTASY XIV license for this platform or your subscription has expired.
To register a license, please visit the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station"

Has it been thirty days since your sub expired?

and it had to have been 30 days expired prior to the campaign starting

Failing the above you could be a Windows account user trying to login through Steam (or vise versa)

I had a couple of issues getting the game to run as well, it "failed to complete the update" (or something like that everytime I clicked "Play", so I enabled run as admin for the launcher/boot and it returned me this error that you are describing.
What I did to solve the issue was disabling all compatibility settings for the game executables AND run Steam as administrator. That way the update worked and the launcher recognized my licence.

I know this is very specific, but maybe it could help you or someone else ^^

I could not log in 28 day sense my last log in.
2 days later i got in jsut fine.
Even managed to find people to finaly clear BA.
