So cant glamour 1lv item on 50lv?

Im trying to make 50lv looks like 1lv item but game wont let me. Im missing something is there an actual level restriction that you cant get around?

You only cannot glamour higher level gear onto lower level gear.

yeah the Set/item/gear/armor/cosmetic NEEDS to be for your Job/Class or a piece with no Job/Class restrictions

Character too low level


Other notes, you need glamour prisms to cast glamour or to place them in your armory chest. You can create glamour plates by going to an inn and using the armory chest. I usually go to the one in the adventures guild in uldah. Glamour plates can be used to cast glamour in any major city, free of cost (after the initial storage in the armory chest).

Is it for all races and sexes too? I guess does it have a race restriction or one of the 2 gender symbols.

I'm just throwing this out as an off chance that maybe it was never done hence the glamouring issues... But did you unlock the glamour feature? If you didn't you can get the quest to unlock it (Blue + quest) in Vesper Bay in Western Thanalan.

Otherwise it has to be some kind of restriction as mentioned above like the item requires a certain job, a type of job (Disciple of War/Magic/Hand/Land), requires a specific race, requires a specific gender. If it just says all classes then it has to be one of the other restrictions or maybe you are missing some glamour prisms to be able to cast the glamour onto the item.

I would wager you're most likely attempting to glamour gear that your race and/or gender can't use, as you're stating it's level 1 gear you're wanting the appearance of, meaning the gear is purely cosmetic, so class specificity is not an issue here.

Also, if the level 1 gear is already glamoured to look like something else, you cannot use its original form as a glamour, you will need to use a Glamour Dispeller to remove that glamour first.
