In command prompt as administrator, type in: netsh interface tcp show global

See if it's disabled, and then if it is, type: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

Could be massive waves of people installing right now. Even the game servers took a crap earlier this morning from population density.

Tbh even with a VPN most people report low download speeds in the launcher. It's been something that's happened since the game launched and I assume they throttle download speeds during peak game hours to reduce the load on their servers, but nothing I've ever done seemed to make much difference.

You can try a VPN or port forwarding since some folks have reported success with those options, but most of the time you just gotta wait it out. It's not your internet it's just the game :BL3Shrug: Although, you really should look into port forwarding for FF14 just because that helps with connectivity issues and generally fixes patching errors.

If you have slow download speed issue try this :

In command prompt as administrator, type in: netsh interface tcp show global

See if it's disabled, and then if it is, type: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

there's like 15 things that come up when you type that, what does each of them mean and what are we looking to change to make things better?
