What error do you get?
Or what do you hope to accomplish without anything we can help you with.
Nor any specifics?
I didnt see anything about no refund on the store page. Refunds are a standard part of online transactions. I will go to the BBB for the $35 if I have to.
The no refund is clearly on the store page. It's no one's fault but your own that you missed it.
I do know that there are third party launchers out there that people have used to bypass a number of issues.
You could also download the launcher from SE's site and right click on the .exe file and in the Target field after the "...ffxivboot.exe" add " -issteam" without quotes
So it would look something like this:
"E:\Program Files\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot\ffxivboot.exe" -issteam
It's how I launch FFXIV. I forget the exact reason why I have the SE site launcher version when I own the Steam version.
You can't login to steam to launch the game yet you are posting on the forums....
You can access the game (via browsing to the game's install path) via steam but fail the steam handshake (because apparently you're offline) ??
..... am I getting something mixed up here? If you can post to the steam forums you're online and SHOULD be able to launch the FF-launcher via steam (thereby automatically passing the handshake)....
What am I missing here?
Yet FFXIV is sitting at 50K plus active players online right now.
And the forum isn't flooded with players saying they can't log in who had previously been able to log in (ie: not likely an account set up issue).
So it's not the Steam launcher most likely.
Also; SE support is horribly overrun by the influx of new players...can't blame them for suddenly becoming as succesfull as they are now; you can't prepare for something so out of left field like that.
