Purchasing Endwalker, what about other DLCs?
I heard that shadowbringers would give you all the prior DLC, is it the same for endwalker? If I buy endwalker will I get every DLC prior including shadowbringer?

Super strange system, thank you though. I appreciate it.

I don't think it's that weird. All expansions that are released are free if they aren't current. The current one costs money. Pre orders do not apply to this (aka Endwalker). A lot of games use this system. WoW does the exact same thing

Of course it is weird, the big thing about FFXIV is "If you buy the latest expansion, you get access to all of them" yet when people buy the latest expansion, they suddenly don't have them. New people have no idea that they don't get benefit from pre-ordering and must purchase the expansions twice.

It actually is pretty weird, ive also never heard of another game doing this except WoW and I never played that. It doesn't make sense that buying endwalker and registering the pre-order doesn't give access to prior DLC immediately. Im probably just going to finish out my free trial and then wait for endwalker before playing again.

I think Shadowbringers will go free when Endwalker comes out. Till then, it will be charged. That's how other MMO (namely: WoW) does it.

No it is not weird.

Of course if you buy the expansion you get access to previus expansions.
BUT the expansion isn't out yet.
It is a pre-order for WHEN it comes OUT.
As it is not OUT yet you don't activate the key with which you gain access to the expansions

Except Endwalker is not the "latest expansion". This is not complicated. If people mix that up, it's on them
