Well, outside party it doesn't work.
I have tried it with party, but it was in pvp before start. But I don't think there is a difference.
2. Invite your passenger to your party (skip if they already are in your party)
3. Passenger right-clicks you and your draught chocobo and selects 'Mount'.
4. Passenger acquired! :D
*Passenger must be in your party to be able to ride on your chocobo. This is to prevent trolling with randoms jumping on when you're riding alone, possibly blocking your intended passenger from mounting up.
Yeah, but it would have been nice if you are sitting on your Chocobo and can invite a person yourself, so he/she can accept/decline.
Like I met a new player who ran to the same fate and instead of inviting him to a ride, I had to invite him to a party first and then write him to right-click me to get on my Chocobo..
If it's you who can invite people, there is no real disadantage. Except you can annoy other players but you can do that with party invites, too.
Well its kind of proximity based for them to be able to ride the pillow, so it wouldn't make much sense to only allow you to invite if you're real close. They probably thought it was better having the person who wants to mount do it.
