Can't create new character?

I'm trying to make a new character but each server says new characters can't be made. What do i do i none of the world will let me play?

Try the refresh button which should give you a new set of servers that might let you in. You may have to refresh several times - the servers it shows you don’t refresh automatically and they fill up by the time you try and submit your character so you have to keep trying.

The more helpful tip here is to wait until off hours when there is least amount of players online. Like 2-5 am when player count is lowest you should be able to create a character.

Had to wait 3 days until I was able to move my wife's account to another server. If new, try late at night to move, or make a new character.

Its absolutely retarded that we have to wait til the early hours of the morning to be able to make a new character or transfer servers. Not all of us can do that due to life and/or work. They either need to make more servers or they need to stop charging a monthly sub for a game people don't easily have access too even though they bought it. This is easily the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ I've ever had to deal with in a video game.

It's almost as if we have this global pandemic going on or something. As square have already talked about several times, they simply cannot get additional server hardware right now due to high demand, low supply.

Everyone's hurting, MMO servers included.

The reason why you can't create characters (or indeed login with free trial) is because there's a priority system going on, attempting to keep the queues low and server loads even.

So yeah... if you want to create a character, you're going to have to do it off-peak hours. This goes for everyone.

This is with exception of any server listed as Congested instead of Standard or Preferred.

Right now, all of Aether is congested. You'll have to wait until SE opens Aether up, which could be months.

There's two brand new data centers full of NEW servers with creation open and rewarded.

New housing servers have been added, and many servers got additional housing instances as a result.

The congested servers are locked down for creation to funnel people to make characters on the new servers and to help course correct the overall issue.

The problem is 100% solved. This post is about not being able to make a character at all, not being unable to make a character on Balmung.

To get your ERP fix, make a character on one of the Dynamis servers, then at the login screen, right click on your character and choose Data Center travel. As long as the destination server is not congested, it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to go visit your friends.
