I do try to gauge the level/experience of others in my party and keep an eye on the healer and what the dps are doing, also dictate the pace and take the lead when I feel is needed.
Fortunately the dungeon I did today "Haukke Manor" had other experienced players (healer and dps) who gave me a few tips - in this instance regarding the tank stance. I think knowing how to do those dungeons again properly comes down from experience of what enemies you're going to encounter. I also usually watch a video guide after I've done a particular dungeon so I know next time what to expect.
Also I was reading and watching youtube guides saying that tanks should not use the limit break (I haven't yet) as it's best reserved for the dps members of your party. Any situation where it might be used by a tank?

It's deceptively informative.
It is a niche LB but can be used in ways to cheese some mechanics just like Healer LB3 is a way to cheese a wipe from a certain difficult mechanic.
Om3ga we posted at the same time. Thanks for the LB tip. I'll probably join a guild at some point to get more experience of dungeons, so far all I've done are the main story quest ones.
