Cannot need roll on Dragoon gear

This is really starting to pi** me off.

Lancer / Dragoon cannot need ton DPS gear that they can use and are upgrades.

I've found threads from 2013-2014 about this issue, and in some of them I think I saw someone saying this is only during ARR, but it's still unacceptable.

Losing chances on so many great dungeon upgrades just because I cannot need on it is a slap in the face.

And no these are not tank pieces with tank stats, these are pieces that LNC and DRG can wear, are DPS gear and major upgrades.

How in the he*l is this issue in the game for 7-8 years when seemingly everything else is great and the devs care about the game etc.

a ton huh? What gear specifically? What dungeons? Where's the screenshots? i find it hard to believe this bug is around and every lancer coming through isn't complaining. More inclined to believe the gear wasn't actually for you.

I'm lvl 50 DRG, every dungeon so far.

What do you mean the gear is not for me? It clearly labels LNC and DRG, and has DPS stats.

dragoon is maiming gear. pre 50 you use tank gear. i think its striking for the accessory

I was able to need for gear in dungeons level 50 and below as a Dragoon.

So if it is an issue it's not every dungeon and every drop.

As mentioned by others, the gear probably wasn't meant for Dragoon. ARR gear in 2.0 dungeons is based on a system of light/medium/heavy armor, with each class going up to a certain tier from those three, but with the expectation of wearing the best set of those types. Dragoon is a heavy armor class, like tanks. It wasn't until 2.x and the expansions that Dragoon got its own set of armor that wasn't heavy/tank armor. (I think they always used Striking accessories, though.)

Well, if the gear is saying LNC and DRG, it's clearly a bug then. Going for 8 years.

I clearly said the pieces are green to go for LNC and DRG among others, CLEARLY they are meant to be worn also by those two.

No man it's never that. It's always 100% the game's fault a bug going on for 8 years no one else complains about etc etc etc. . . Never user error.

But a screenshot will likely never show up because doing so (hopefully) forces a person to actually look, instead of assume, and then they see the error and the thread dies, floating down the steam forum river.

or more simply you are not understanding something. eitherway i hope you can resolve your issue.

past level 50 they do away with dow and dom gear and replace it with the gear type naming system. ie fending, maiming, ect

But right now all SE would see if they looked was that you were saying something but everyone else was saying it is not a problem.

If I'm a dev looking for feedback or problems and I see a thread about problem only mentioned by one player and not backed up either by another poster or by a picture, I would assume that it was user error and move on to other threads that might have feedback or bugs for me to read.

In the case of games with multitude of patches, it can be hard to say what got fixed by what patch so the fact that the bug existed years ago does not mean that that bug has not been fixed by a patch that came out since the previous time it was mentioned by people.

I have heard there are a few pieces that are bugged, but not all of them. But those threads were also older and therefore may not be relevant anymore if SE already fixed the pieces mentioned in those threads. I can't remember where I saw them or what I was looking for at the time.

I'm a level 80 Dragoon and i've been maining the class since I started playing. In my 500 hours (not as much as some I know but still a reference) i've personally never had this issue.

Could you provide more information? A screenshot would be most helpful, since you say you're getting the issue all the time, it shouldn't be hard to show the piece of gear and the need button greyed out, since that's how it works.

OP, this is a long-time issue and it doesn't exist past ARR. That's why whenever the issue is posted you get a flood of "well I've played for 50,000 hours and I've never... blah blah." It's specific to dragoon and only in 1-50 content.

You can literally find gear that says LNC DRG and can only greed it
