Free Trial and Fantasia

I was wondering if you could buy fantasia on the free trial? I went through the process on mogstation but at the confirmation page it also has option to confirm character by lodestone. From what I understand you can't log into lodestone on free trial? But there's still a separate option to confirm purchase so I just want to make sure if I confirm that my trial character will get it. Thanks.

Edit: Well I tried to confirm payment and then after trying to select payment it gave me an error and said I can't use that function. So I guess that answers that question.

It's a trial for a reason. These threads are getting quite redundant at this point. The game is not free to play. It's a trial. A demo. You want full access you must purchase it.

That reason is to get more people, like me, into the game who might like it enough to purchase the full game. And actually, as for the trial content, it is indeed free to play. I've been playing it for free for a couple of weeks now. I most likely will be purchasing the full game but wanted to finishing playing most of the FREE content before I make that decision. My character is almost lvl 30 and I wanted to change his appearance without starting over if I could. If redundant questions about the trial really bother you that much you may want to quit lurking in forums such as this looking for questions to complain about, considering that as long as there is a free trial redundant questions about that trial are inevitable.

Yes the entire point of the trial is to sell the game. If you want all of the features then just buy the game.

Yeah, don't worry about it. You're not even complaining lol. Idk what's up with these guys. Unless you edited your post to take out some nasty unwarranted criticism or something. Some people want more posts on the forum (like me) cuz it gives me something to read when I'm bored at work.

A free trial isn't the same as free to play. You can't use most social features or the marktplace or even have retainers. You can't buy Mog Station items, you're capped at 300K gil (which you WILL hit before the trial cap), etc.

You get a free fantasia at the end of ARR (level 50 MSQ) so you can change your character if you decide right away at the end or wait till after you finish Heavensward (level 60 MSQ that ends the trial) and then buy the game to get access to the other races if those are ones you want to fantasia to with the free ARR one. I'm aware a free trial isn't the same as a free to play subscription model. My point was that as far as trial content goes it is free to play. I understand there are limitations with the trial but not all those limits are listed in detail anywhere that I could find. They list for example that some in game items can't be purchased but they don't list all those items specifically.

Thanks for the help. I decided to just start over. It won't take that long to get back to my previous point and it's kinda fun redoing all of it anyway now that I have a better idea how it all works.

Free Trial Players can purchase select in-game items from the FINAL FANTASY® XIV Online Store during the Free Trial. Not all in-game items are available for purchase by Free Trial Players (e.g., in-game item gift codes).

Kinda odd Fantasia wouldn't be one of those select items.

I thought so too. I guess it's because the fantasia is delivered by the moogle system and you can't use that while on a trial. You also might have to sign in to lodestone to confirm which character (and you can't use that on trial either) although I'm sill not sure if that's actually necessary or not. Of course I didn't know all that before coming here because they don't really explain all that in an obvious comprehensive way and that's fine, I understand they can't cover every little detail. But I had to kind of figure it out in bits and pieces and putting it all together. I didn't know fantasia arrived by moogle, for example, until I went through the actual process of trying to buy it.
