Is waiting for the timer the only way to get leves?

Yes. As those allowances and Leves are actually a powerful way to make money etc in game. You can save them up to 100 and go on a major leve binge. It's what I do. Save up the leves and then pop them when I need an influx of gil or company seals.

Yes. Jim is correct.

I can't remember the last time I bothered doing a levequest.

Guess it depends if you want money for minimal work (read: <10min of gathering) for around 25k gil per levequests x 6 or just let them stay capped at 100.

*shrug*

I guess at the early levels that's pretty nice, but that level of gil is pretty slow later on.

But it is not, half of crafters are selling cookies (18k per 9 hq cookies) in Shadowbringers or non stacking blacksmith ones. If you started in June you could already get Gillionaire achievment

Remember you can just go and buy turn-in items on the market if they are cheap to spend your leves if they are capped and you are not leveling with them

Timer yes.. they are also an ok way to make gil early but there are far more time efficient ways later if you look and are creative.

It's not as good as getting an erp job but still really good.

If you like doing work for chump change, do leves. If you want to make real gil, flip.

Like back flips? Or front flips? I haven't leveled Ninja though. So if it's front flips I'll have to get busy.

I dunno about ERPers. I avoid those group of people whenever possible, but leve's are definitely not really good when it comes to making gil in endgame. Its decent if you're just starting out, but its neither fast or efficient.

Seeing as that would require money to actually start doing that while levequests require just being at a level to get the quest in the first place...

Same as FATE leveling, so 2014 and 2015?
The question is why do you wanna do leves?
If there is a specific motivation behind, there are usually other ways to reach goals.

Aka if you are looking for a specific materials only available via leves and such.
