what makes this game worth $15 a month?
i couldnt really get into world of warcraft. what makes this game fun for you? what else is there to do besides questing? im still new to the game currently. currently level 4 and i dont want to end up finding the game just being boring because maybe it may be too slow to start off until you level up more

its worth 15$ cause it better than WOW. theres a lot to do you can level up your main job and progress the story, level up your gathering jobs, go to the gold saucer and play mini games, do all the blue quests they always unlock something new. the game does start off kinda slow but it picks up once you get to level 30 and once you beat ARR.

You could try out the free trial as it allows you to play -a lot- of content. And you won't have to pay a dime: Then you'd be able to form an opinion of your own and decide if it's worth it to continue onwards.

It's an MMO, expect a grind.

It's a great game, MMO or RPG wise. There's a ton--and ton!--of world building, stories, quests and events you can partake in, as well as dozens of mini-games and off-quest stuff to do (farming, racing, breeding, decorating a house etc).

I mostly pay it because I love the story that much. The gameplay is an added bonus.

You are in ARR. Unfortunately, it's grindy, but once you are passed that? It's far, far better. Everyone basically agrees on this. lol stick it through, get to Heavensward, and you'll potentially see why so many pay such a price. :)

The world and the people are fantastic. I love the world and the people are amazing. Not just that but unlike other MMO's the level grind is pretty fun and addicting. The gameplay is spot on too. The devs are fantastic and really care about the community and when it comes to expansions they take there time and deliver great quality. On top of that theres a "free trial". Its not really a free trial tbh, its just the base game and a expansion, so more like a free game. And once your in the game theres no mention of "BUY ME" for anything. Instead theres a optional store thats strictly on the website. Honestly, other than time, theres nothing to lose.

why do people prefer apples over oranges? People have different reasons to sub for this game, well any game. What makes it good for me, wouldn't necessary make it good for you.

If you play the trial and like it then it's worth the sub. If you play it and don't like it then it's not.

Easy peasy.

Quality and quantity. Playing a F2P or some B2P games and getting as much from it as you do from a sub based game would usually cost more than a sub unless you don't mind all the walls they put up.

1. I dont have to run into people like ingame crying a lot due to that monthly sub. because they won't cough up 15 bucks.

2. The pvp is fun, but not the center attraction, nor is it forced. So I get to avoid those Ewarriors that get a sense of personal worth ganking everyone and screaming about their stat being 2 higher than that other guy. Seriously, this mentality kills pvp for me. ANd games that focus/force pvp tend to be full of 5 year old mentalities.

3. Bias. yeah I'll include this because it's true. The first mmo experience I ever had was FFXI.

4. More Bias, the first RPG I ever played was FF7.

5. All for one, one for all. I love that I'm a jack of all trades, I do not have to make any extra characters because I want to try a different job/craft. I can do it all on my MAIN. The only alts I have are for a specific name and to be used as storage for things like crafting material.

6. The story. Yeah I said it. The story! Sure it's a very slow burn at the start, but before the end I'm liberating planets, traveling through time, slaying gods. etc. The cutscenes become amazing along the way.

7. The content. It seems, endless to me. So many things to do, from serious tones to downright absurdity and silliness. Another expansion on the horizon and I don't see support for the game stopping any time soon.

8. Community!. Ok, so my FC consists of me and my wife. We don't go all out socializing. That being said, the interactions I've had along the way have all but once been positive. And even the one time I would consider it negative, I learned from it in the end.

9. The colors, the animations, all of it is so vibrant and entertaining.

10. Its cheap, basically 192 bucks a year. I have other recreational habits I spend 600+ a month on. It costs more money for a couple people to eat at McDonalds.

11. Producer/developers care about this game. They want it to be a breathing living world continuously evolving and growing. I want to be along for that ride.

Hate the story, love the game.
The main story is boring, tedious, and i could not care less about the people involved, but i do like some of the side quests.
I also hate that the voice acting randomly cuts off in the middle on some quests, and you have to read the rest. To be treated as a go fetch servant in some quest, even after all i have done. That you can accept quest at one level, do them, but not be able to turn them in since "your level is too low" and some other minor issues.
When that is said, the game play is awesome, there is a "million" things to do, and if you ever get trough that, there is a million more.
It also feel as if they are made for enjoyment and not just to get you to spend more time playing. ( even though i know they are)
Most people in it are easy going and pretty fun if you`re the social type, if you`r not, then you can easily go at it alone.
I love that the game provide what you need, and that one toon can have many jobs, even if it feels a little schizo sometimes.

It is slightly flawed and the first parts really show it`s age, but as you go along, the good more than weigh up for the not so good bits.
It is a overall a really good game.

Speaking of Final Fantasy online, do you think Final Fantasy XI will be added to the Steam library one day? I heard the game's story was completed in 2016 or so.

I'm having a lot of fun with Final Fantasy XIV, it's just I was curious about the older mmorpg.

Why? Here's you story. I just want shiny staff for my mage. Ok, im 80 lvl, there new zone for farm some resourses. 1-2 hours of grind and i get access to some new activity where 48 players together with minimum cooperation try to survive in series of boss fights. For me it was "oh, i died, oh i get ressed, oh healer died, i ressed him...". So much fun and everyone talk, share their feelings. We finished it and get some rewards, but just feeling that all players here with you make this game forth.
