Can't leave a message in guestbook?

Randomly visiting homes and leaving messages, and I couldn't leave a note in someone's book, but my friend could. Anyone know why? I don't think I would be blocked by the person, I don't speak often nor do I recognize the name.

I am not. I was able to leave notes in other guestbooks, but this person's specifically I couldn't.

Maybe the book was full after your friend wrote in it?

I fail to see how that relates to this topic though? OP isn't sharing an account and character with their friend.

I left multiple messages across different estates, I wasn't trying to leave more than one message in the same place.
