You really gonna pretend you don’t know what hyperbole is when I say that tab targeting is a nightmare, and then use hyperbole in saying that you only have to tap a button twice?
Crazy how tapping a button twice always lands you on the right player in parties of 4-24 players.
“Made with controllers in mind” does not mean that the game plays optimally on a controller. It’s very clunky.
In fact, I'm fairly sure people bring up steam controllers in forums to stir people up.. in that case, well done.
If you're wondering, I have several controllers. Stream Controller is my all-time favorite controller. I've been using Steam Controller for 5 years, across various games. I have an Xbox 360 & Xbox One controller; both of with I hate. Because I do development work they are needed for controller testing. My second favorite controller is Logitech F710 because I prefer PS3/4 style controllers for most of my games. I also have PS3 & PS4 I don't use often because they sometime require various special controller emulation software, depending on the game/title.
Also as others have said, get in the habit of reaching over to F1-F4, F2 and F3 are the buttons you'll be using the most.
Personally i cant agree with the F1-F4 stuff. I realize that people can play with that, but i dont understand it at all. Are you guys clickers?
I have all my abilities on the surrounding keys of WASD + the shift variations and on the extra two buttons on my mouse. I have my mouse cursor always near the party list on the far left side, because i dont need to click anything else than on my teammates and to rotate the camera. Using the F keys would move my hand too far away from WASD and that is an unneeded timeloss.
It's never been a problem for me.
If he's concerned at all about wasd it probably means he's a keyboard mover...different strokes and all that.
How else does one move on PC then? Holding down the left and right mouse buttons constantly? No thanks.
