do you get the extra gp regen when on crafters? im currently hitting 8 collectable nodes per ingame day and wondered whether once i hit one node, whether i have to stay on gatherer to maximise the gp regen.

I don't know if the extra GP regen ticks when you are on a class without the Enhanced GP Regen trait, though from some searching it seems it may not. The easiest way I can think to tell is to test it for yourself, timing your GP regen from 0 to full on a gatherer vs non-gatherer class, and see if there is a significant difference.

mhm ill do it at some point. just wanted to do some mass crafts inbetween nodes as theres 4 hour ingame time between nodes (12pm, 6pm, 12am,6am) all other times im out gathering but still with downtime between each node, however enough time to fully regen to max with both gp regen traits.just want to be a bit more proactive whilst waiting for node pops is all.

If you're collecting items for white scrips, you can collect 10 times per Eorzea day (12/2/4/8/10 x2), but if you're strictly doing Ephereal nodes, then yeah, every 4 hours.

Fisher is the only class that can regen GP while doing its activity. For Miner and Botanist you must stay idle. If you start gathering in a node with them, then you can only obtain GP with every successful Gathering attempt. Cordials and Hi-Cordials are a good way to recover a good chunk of GP without waiting too much idle

im having to gather yellow and white scrips for the SB books atm. took a looong break and never actually bothered with gatherers/crafters on my main.

also collecting 10 times is with both trait upgrade and staying on the miner/botanist?

Collecting 10 times means you gather from a node at 12:00, then move to the location of the 2:00 and wait for it to spawn, then move to the 4:00 node etc.

I have a spreadsheet that I made so I didn't have to keep looking things up.

There is 5 minutes between each nodes. at 5 per 3 seconds, you get maximum 500GP per 5 minutes on standard, 600GP on boost and 700GP on max boost. It doesn't cost so much to max a node I believe so you could easily get 12 nodes or about per day, assuming one each 2 hours.

i tend to just use garland tools.

Yep so on max boost or even +6, you should normally be able to heal all or almost if you keep your node gathering consistent. I tried switching jobs and the healing seems stable but I could not confirm if rate changes when you go to a random job. I didn't get much trouble, though.

Also I think, correct me if I am wrong, garlond tools is broke since nodes all changed now...

garland tools works for the newer nodes now. was using the timer a couple of days ago for rarefied nodes

Pretty good then. I know what to do for some scrips. Looking for nodes manually is a pain.

in what sense? on garland tools? or ingame?
