My UI rolled back?

I logged in tonight and once the game was up I immediately noticed my UI was all sorts of wrong.

Too big, everything's in the wrong place etc and I thought the game had reset it to default for a moment (which I've had happen a few times) but I quickly noticed that no, it's not default.

It's how I had it set up a little over 2 months ago.

I'm not even sure how as every time the game reset to default I had to manually rebuild the UI how I wanted it.
I couldn't find any way to easily reset what I had before.

I don't suppose anyone here has some experience with saved UI settings so I can get the UI I had this morning back?

Did you uninstall/reinstall the game between the time you had your UI set up and when it was reset?

Your UI settings are stored locally, usually in your Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV, then in individual FFXIV_CHR files divided by character. Every character has it's own UI data, so a new character won't use your old UI unless you copy over the hud files. You could see if a copy of your original hud is stored in one of those folders.

Also, when you log in, on the character selection screen, there is an option to backup/restore UI from a server back up. You have to manually back it up, however, but it's possible to restore your UI layout if you created a backup before.
