If you want a game with combat and pacing of World of Warcraft that focuses on story so much you can almost play it fully single player, where the focus is on learning and executing mechanics properly to clear hard content, you’ll love this.

If you want a game that has faster paced combat with an emphasis on mobility and reacting to what’s going on to dodge and block, and you want tons of customization in terms of builds, play Elder Scrolls Online.

Tried ESO the start was so slow I was lost, I checked guides and they all started talking about "uh you need THIS you need THAT" it was a big turn off the graphics wheren't that great either I gave it a pass.
The graphics are more impressive than those in Destiny considering ESO can have far and away more players and other things happening on screen at once.

One major way you can look at FF 14 in comparison to Destiny 2, is they don't have to "Vault" away content you pay for...

And they both have the tendency to make items you spend hundreds if not thousands of hours farming for irrelevant.

I've played both (have about 150 in Destiny 2 and 1000+ in FFXIV) and it's hard to recommend to you because they are two completely different types of games. I've really enjoyed this game I would say more than Destiny 2 but I'm an FF fanboy and played WoW for three years so it's a type of game I knew I would like.

Game has a free trial so you can try it out for a month free. Maybe you'll like the gameplay/story, maybe you won't but at least you will not have spent any money on it.

When you play Destiny 2 is like you need to take note, aim sharp, move quick, jump right , do math on pve, one punch on pvp, you feel the game playing you more than you playing the game.

Playing FFXIV is like you go to playground with Lalafell, sometimes playing hero play, sometimes playing house play, watching drama together, saving the world together as usual or got your little butt kicked. And more you are actually having a buffet which you can choose everything on the table you want to eat without trouble.

I'ma prolly play both then. I heard the pvp in FFXIV is booty and thats the main reason I play D2, but I cant stand the pve of D2 so Ill just have to play both :/

I'm a Machinist, and it's one of the most unique jobs in the game. You can move around freely with your cooldowns without interruption.

Are you going to be ok with MMORPG combat? D2 has crisp gunplay, and might be why you like it so much. FFXIV has a very different combat systems. Raids will not be runnin n gunnin, it will be dodging mechanics you need to look up while maintaining your rotation or skills used.

Id advise you youtube raids just to see if they visually are what you want, then see if theres a free trial so you can press the buttons and see if the gunplay is what you wanted..

Nah I liked destiny because raids and dungeons. The gameplay was satisfactory with the fantasy elements all things considered but without the endgame it would be just a generic shooter.
