Bought sub through steam auto renew-how long does it take to activate?

Hello everyone,

I just bought a new sub for the game but the process was kinda weird and i dont know if the delay i'm seeing is normal or if something got messed up. For other sub games i usually go directly to their website like with WoW, SWTOR or whatever. This is the first sub game that i've played that has its own site and was on Steam, but i decided to sub through Steam instead.

I loaded the game up through steam, got an error message on the launcher saying no sub so i clicked the link. Got a browser window which led me to Square Enix site where i clicked a link on the SE portal that redirected me back to Steam but in a web browser mode which is where i purchased the sub. Now i'm just waiting and so far still nothing. Not really sure how long i have to wait til i should start worrying or contacting support.

I just noticed that the link on the Square Enix site that sent me to the Steam page to buy 14.99 was actually just to add funds to my Steam Wallet. I'm looking but i dont see an option to transfer the funds from my wallet to FFXIV to reactivate my sub.

On Steam, check Account details -> Manage subscriptions. Check if there is a FF14 subscription, and date on billing cycle. At that date, you will be charged the mentioned amount and your FF14 sub will actually happen. You may want to punch the recruit code in before that date.
It seems that you have to have enough money on your steam wallet to subscribe; but it may charge your credit card directly on billing date for reasons unknown to me.
