What to spend gil on?

I am enjoying the trial very much. I have played almost 100 hours and I am lvl 51 at the moment. I want to play the trial up to lvl 60 before I buy the game but I have one problem: I have almost 300.000 gil, witch is the money limit for trial users. Problem is there is nothing really to buy that I need or want. Do you have any suggestions about some cool stuff to buy?
Please note that trial players don't have access to the market board.

Stock up on Gysahl Greens. Mimett Gourds, Cordials and Hi-Cordials.

Items you'll constantly use and burn through, quite easy to justify buying.

Could always ask around for items that retain their value (hopefully) like those 200k glamour pieces from Firmament and keep them as investment objects till you can sell the back without the GIL limit.

Or you know - Get started on buying a set of Exarch (lv80 crafted gear) early, since unlike lv50, 60 and 70 you don't have access to cheap and easy raid token gear.

Are those in the game store or some npc selling them? Or you mean other players selling stuff for gil?

You cannot trade with other players if you are using a free trial account. I'm on a free trial too and I've been working on doing beast tribe daily quests. Getting your reputation high enough gives you access to mounts and minions you can buy among other things. I've bought two mounts so far at 120k gil each. A friend of mine who is also on a free trial spent some gil to buy a few minions that weren't from beast tribes. I believe he bought them in U'ldah but I could be wrong.

Getting at least one won't take that long. It doesnt look like there are time stamps for achievements in this game, but for one of them I took a screenshot of when I unlocked a tribes dailies up until I got their mount. Fourteen day difference looking at the screenshot dates.

IIRC you can acquire all the ARR/HW mounts from the strange moogle tomestone event quite easily so it's probably worth focusing on SB/ShB dailies for their mounts.

You can buy mounts on the MB, or barding, or chocobo feed to increase it's level cap. Black/White Dye Costs 300k each if you want one of those colors. Buying gear on the market board can be pricey depending on what you want. Buying mats to level your crafting job for Diadem is kinda pricey. Housing stuff is pricey. Some mounts cost like 50million gil to buy from a beastman vendor. Otherwise expect to pay 100k for normal beastman mounts at vendor price. A new expansion pack is about to be released so expect prices to spike the closer it gets to D-Day.

I got a ridiculous ammount of consumables and will spend as much as I can upgrading my racing bird :)

Maybe (and I say maybe) you could consider too to use your gils to buy allagan pieces in marketboard, in such case if the prices are reasonable you could accumulate them so you will be able to resell them when you get the base game and get the majority of gils back, but it is just a thing it came in my mind.
