Can i get Shadowbringers from InstantGaming/G2A/Kinguin?
Hey,

I'm new to FFXIV and i was planning on buying Shadowbringers, and I was wondering if I could buy it from anywhere else other than Steam as it's way cheaper, then redeem the code on StationMog, or is it not gonna work since my account is linked to my Steam?

Thank you :)

Steam needs Steam.

What Anakha said, if your base game is steam, you HAVE to get a steam key, if a third party site says it's a steam key they are selling, well its up to you if you trust them.
Basically: assume the sites are selling Mogstation leys, and if steam censors the site name, then assume the keys are gonna be revoked at some point.

The fact that the sit's name is censored should tell you the answer is "no". Never trust key resellers.

Just because you haven't had a problem doesn't make the site legit.

Key reselling sites are usually money laundering for people who buy keys with stolen credit cards and turn over for cheaper, if your virtue is low enough you can buy from them but beware that SE holds the right to revoke your ownership if peoples' banks get mad at them

If it says steam version then it works. Used those sites to buy cheap sub when game cards were still a thing.

Try cdkeys

I'm surprised you didn't get your card stolen.

Just because you haven't had a problem doesn't make the site legit.

so, two threads with people that say "yep, kinguin is fine, I've used them" and people that haven't used it saying "no, it's dangerous" (with no evidence). huh.

Have some more links:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/4lfmty/warning_dont_buy_anything_from_kinguin_details/

That last one took weeks, a negative review, and PUBLICLY BLASTING THEM to get treated remotely well

Remember, just because you get lucky and don't end up scammed doesn't make it not a place for scammers to go.

Two threads of people saying "The only difference between Kinguin and G-2-A is notoriety."

Some keys on the site are likely fine. Some keys on the site are likely obtained illegally. It probably varies from game to game and day to day what % are legal and what % are illegal.

There is no way to tell if your key is obtained legally or not prior to purchase.

It is up to the buyer to decide if the risk of losing the account is worth the cost difference.

For me and the others saying don't buy from them, the risk is not worth the cost reduction.

GeeTooA is a good site to get month subs for mmo games.

Seriously? It's far and away the most illegitimate key reseller. Most of its stock is put up with stolen credit card information. The fact that the name is censored should tip you off.
