[SOLVED] Shift key stops my movement

I usually play MMOs where i Make my shift key, a combination key for other skills. However in this game and this game alone. My movement for my character stops when i press/hold the shift key, until i release it. Is that a thing for FF14?

Ive searched online about it and people say "Maybe your keyboard can't handle multiple key pressat once" But every other game i play, i can do all the key presses i want at once including Shift. I mainly also play PSO2 right now and i'm always using shift as a combination key while also holding down WASorD + another button. Plus in FF14 if i have a skill on say Shift+ anything... it works. Its just specifically for the movment of my character that it halts it. (also if a skill is on Shift+W it WILL use the Skill bound to it, and halt my movment)

Is it that the game itself does not work for certain keyboards? or is there an option i'm missing? This is my first encounter with any game online or not where shift halts movment.. and its also Alt, however Cntrl works and other buttons.

I’d like to say you should double check all of your key bindings, make sure it’s setup right. I’m using shift as a modifier with numbers and have no such problem whilst moving around and using it.

I have figured out the issue, so bare with me. Most i'm used to playing WoW, in WoW u were able to bind Shift +WAS or D for various skills and it would not halt your movment if u were holding say W and then pressing SHift. It would not activate skill or stop you from moving forward untill u let go of W and pressed it again after holding shift. FF14 is the opposite, if u have Shift + WASD, the moment you press shift while holding say W, the game no longer regesters the W press and acts like nothing is being pressed (wont activate skill either, so stops you from moving.).

So TL;DR Unbind anything combining WASD, do not use WASD as combinations with shift or anything unless you don't mind halting movment everytime u press/hold shift
