Got banned for Spam emotes. LOL

i got banned for spamming emotes like... 10 times.. then someone told me to stop spam, i told him to not talk to me and black listet him.. then i was spam it like 15 more times next to him and portet away.
now i got banned for that. xD 3 days. for a bit emote spam. tahts sooooooooooooooo dumb XD
it would be okay when i would did it for 3 minutes or so. but i did it for like 10 secounds.

other ppl out there spamming for muuch longer and they dont get banned. LOL

i didnt realy spam emotes to him, i did hug a friend of mine was near the person. as he typed to me to stop in a rude way. and i for sure hugged my friend some times more before i portet away.

i hugged a friend.. like 10 times. a dude tell me in a rude way to stop annoy him, i blocked him and i keep doing it for like 10 emotes more and portet away.

i just also want to warn you to turn off emote notification.

and if by any chance a mod from square enix sees taht:

please tell them to do an program which blocks spammed emotes. like when i do 5 emotes within 5 seconds (or so) the next emotes for like 30 sec wouldnt show in the chat.^^ if its rly such a big problem so u have to bann me for spamming the chat with emotes then just block the notification when its spammed.

I don't know...I have a hard time in believing that there's not more to this story.
Usually ppl will get contacted in-game by an GM in the GM-Jail (that's really a thing!) before penalties are imposed on someone.

Of course I wasn't there, when the op misbehaved but somehow I believe that a harmless short spam isn't the only reason for the temporary ban.

I'm glad Square takes player harassment seriously. I came from SWTOR and that has such a toxic community. It's like Star Wars attracts toxic frustrated incels or something.

MMOs in general attract toxic incels. FFXIV is just different because it's a Japanese developer with different values than western developers.

I doubt they did. They found it annoying enough to spend the 45 seconds it takes to report them to a GM for harassment. But the only one who is upset here is the guy who got banned for it.

And as other have pointed out, no, you don't get a three day ban for a first offense.
