Got banned for Spam emotes. LOL

i got banned for spamming emotes like... 10 times.. then someone told me to stop spam, i told him to not talk to me and black listet him.. then i was spam it like 15 more times next to him and portet away.
now i got banned for that. xD 3 days. for a bit emote spam. tahts sooooooooooooooo dumb XD
it would be okay when i would did it for 3 minutes or so. but i did it for like 10 secounds.

other ppl out there spamming for muuch longer and they dont get banned. LOL

Then they clearly aren't bothering them enough to put minimal effort in to stop his spam.


I'm not defending the OP getting baby giggles from knowing they have slightly annoyed a person, getting a sense of joy from that should stop once you have "teen" in your age.

But the block lists are for exactly this, "Player harassment" would be making other characters to continue targeting people, following them to poach quest mobs just to slow them down etc.

It's not an action worthy of bans, I would say nothing said in chat windows ever is, at worst a permanent mute for all public channels, only party, FC etc and IF they continue to make an active effort to be a constant annoyance, then consider it.

Simple spam or edgy jokes that often aren't funny aren't something that should be bannable in a game that has a blacklist option.

I disagree that it shouldn't be bannable because of the blacklist, blacklist should not be an excuse for people to do something that clearly is against the rules, but I agree it was a ban for something small.

It's not "clearly" against the rules though, many people would consider me answering back as offensive as being disagreed with "triggers anxiety", me being aware they are sensitive, but refusing to stay quiet could quite easily be interpreted as against a vague code of conduct.

Of course if i come across these people in rouls, i rarely bother talking back if they have a tantrum about things not being done their way xD i use the block list and carry on as normal.

However, if i decide not to block them and spend the dungeon arguing back over petty nonsense, and they report me for it there is a chance I will be punished because someone had a tantrum rather than block me, that shouldn't be a thing, especially when an automated system is in place to solve the issue.


In short it's frustrating because people who report other for spam have a certain petty personality type.




TL: DR -
It's not that they are annoyed at the spam, they could just block them and problem solved.

The issue is that these people want the rest of the world to know they are annoyed and moderators in forums and games always like to placate these personality types, which makes them worse over time.
