Dunno, vaguely it's a "security token"
Yea that is a physical keychain you get that you link to the account that adds a layer of security.
You will log in to SE or FFXIV, and when it asks for a one time password, you press the button on the keychain and get the password
You can ALSO alternatively download the SE FFXIV security token APP from the google play or apple app store free
Fair enough, albeit completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worthless and just a cash grab.
Regardless, I have lost my account due to their blunders, which is in this case is an automated response to me apparently being on the same steam account on two computers.
My biggest issue with this is them being so horrendously bad at their jobs, that their solutions do literally diddly squat, and they don't even have the balls to have a ticket system to speak to an actual employee. I give Blizzard at lot of ♥♥♥♥, but at least that's something they did right.
The worst part is, I can't even get my money back, so at this point it's pretty much theft on their part
because YOU lost access?
Sounds like a YOU problem
That is why you dont ♥♥♥♥ around and use different computers to log into ♥♥♥♥.
It pops up as possible stolen account or hack
Then that is their problem, not mine, because they are too damn stupid to even have a solution that works. Really says a lot about them doesn't it?
Also, it popping up as stolen makes very little sense, unless it's so half-assed it can't even tell that it's literally on the same network. The chances of that being someone having hacked it is astronomically low.
So there you go
What the hell that is supposed to mean? You assume that game should be locked to one particular PC is ridiculous and unheard of, well EA level of stupid on Red Alert 3 and that was removed later date
Do not put words into my mouth, I never said a game should be locked to one particular PC, but when you play an online game from the same location everyday, and then suddenly log in from a different location, they flag it as suspicious and lock your account for your protection.
SE takes account security seriously.
Simple instructions to unlock the account have been provided, OP just likes to complain.
See their NEW thread about the same issue and see for yourself
