I play on PS4, I bought the steam version here so I can pay here which is much simpler and cheaper,
however, due to some purchase that was made on my account, I can no longer make purchases on steam, would I have to create another account on Steam, and link it to the mog station account so I don't lose my progress? if anyone can help me I would be very grateful, Thanks

There is no direct link between Steam account and FFXIV account. Game just checks if account type and launcher are both Steam one. If u already have Steam version of FFXIV account in theory you can make new Steam account and buy FFXIV again. You will just have one unused new key.

?? You don't have to "unlink" the key or anything, buying the base game again only gives you the ability to download the launcher which is required in order to login, but since there's no connection between the steam account and the mogstation account you don't have to do anything else.

Like I said earlier THERE IS NO LINKING. You just make new Steam account, buy there FFXIV and log in with your old account. You will just have spare unused key.
