Levelling 1-30

POTD seems slow til 30. Dungeons seems better from 15-30 but you need 15 first and need gear too, though gear doesnt matter much so early. What's a good way from 1-15? I'll be starting arcanist soon and want something to get me into dungeons

Fates are probably the next best thing but those are WAY slower than Palace.

DPS queue for dungeons is typically worse leveling than Palace since it takes so long most of the time.

If it's your first class just do the main story. It does a good job leveling you at the appropriate pace.

It's not my first class. I'm levelling a new class. Still only 1 lvl per POTD initially, seems like it should be faster

I use to go to the starting area of the area the class guild was located (example lancer, so central shroud) and do fates/hunting log till around 8 - 9, then I do the same in Western La Noscea (swiftperch/aleport area) to level 15, from then on dungeons, do fates while waiting for queues etc.

it is a grind, but if you want to do ♥♥♥♥ quick then its the quickest way to do it.

Leves in horizon are a pretty good way, mixed with the fates in the area. Most of the fates at low level are easily solo-able.
